Novice/Intermediate Skills Camp

June 14-17, 2021 | 2:00-4:00 PM  ** TIME CHANGE **

FOR BOYS/GIRLS ENTERING GRADES 7-10 IN THE FALL

This camp is designed to provide players with an introduction to the basic skills needed to perform at the high school level, including a high repetition environment to improve on the fundamental and intermediate aspects of passing and serving.  Campers will be exposed to passing philosophies built on the foundations of platform awareness and movement to the ball. The sessions focus specifically on serve reception techniques for improved execution during game situations.

Players will also be given the opportunity to improve and develop current techniques for serving, as well as providing new insights to float serving and jump serving.

While the main focus of the sessions will be on improving these two skills, the camp will also reinforce general ball handling skills while introducing campers to drills used at top high school programs.  The camp will be taught with a hands-on approach - each camper will be taken through step-by-step progressions, which should help any athlete with attending future volleyball camps and their high school tryouts.
