Competition (Team Skills) Camp
JULY 24-27, 2023; 4:00-6:30 PM
ENTERING GRADES 6-12 IN THE FALL
Formally named the Championship Volleyball All-Skills Camp, this camp is specially designed to meet the needs of student-athletes entering grades 6-12 in the Fall and are looking for an opportunity to train with the Nighthawk Volleyball staff prior to the high school or middle school season.
The camp will focus on all aspects of the game with the emphasis on fundamentals and competitive team systems. Skill development is emphasized during on-court instruction in the following areas: serving, serve receiving, forearm passing, setting, attacking, team defense, team reception, attack coverage and team transition.
Campers will be placed in a group of similar age and ability. The camp’s coaching staff is one of the most experienced staffs in Tucson. The Ironwood Ridge Volleyball coaching staff will direct the camp, along with current club and college coaches, and current Nighthawk Volleyball players. This camp is created to expose campers to a varsity practice environment and is a great opportunity for athletes to raise their overall skill level right before their season and high school tryouts.
