Nighthawk Volleyball Supports the SideOut Foundation
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Volleyball Program is thrilled to partner with The Side-Out Foundation for their Dig Pink initiative each season! Our volleyball match against Mica Mountain High School on October 6 will be a Dig Pink Night, and we need your support to make our campaign a success.
The Nighthawks and Thunderbolts will trade their traditional colors for PINK as they come together to support Breast Cancer Awareness and the Nighthawk Volleyball Arena will be decked out in pink as we dedicate the match to honor those whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer as well as recognizing survivors close to the athletes and coaches from both teams.
The match also has some added importance as two of Southern Arizona’s top volleyball programs will battle for the 4A Kino Region Title and a top seed in the 4A Conference. Mica Mountain is currently the #1 ranked team in the 4A Conference at 10-0 and the Nighthawks are #2 at 8-1.
In addition, we're raising money for breast cancer research. Ironwood Ridge and Mica Mountain are also competing in a friendly fundraising challenge to see which school can raise the most money for this important cause. Every donation makes a difference, so let’s show our support and help make this competition a success!
All funds raised will go directly to The Side-Out Foundation’s clinical trials focused on stage 4 breast cancer—the most advanced and underfunded stage of the disease.
Thank you for helping us make a difference!
